The renowned Roman periodontist, Dr. Giuseppe Cicero, has recently been awarded the prestigious “Premio Firenze Donna – In Onore dell’Italia che ci Onora”<\/a> for his extraordinary work in the United States in the field of periodontology. This honour is reserved for Italian citizens who stand out for their excellence abroad.<\/a><\/p>\n

At just 33 years old, Cicero earned this award for his outstanding achievements between Italy and the United States, offering a significant contribution to dental innovation through the application of the latest technological advancements in periodontology.<\/p>\n

The Roman-born periodontist began his career in the spotlight at a young age, developing innovative clinical protocols for bone regeneration and dental implantology using 3D printing. This pioneering approach crossed the Atlantic, with Cicero active in both Italy and the United States, building bridges of innovation between the two shores.<\/p>\n

“Between three-dimensional images and holographic techniques, the new frontiers of dentistry in the operating room make procedures increasingly safe and precise,” Cicero declared. His research has led to significant improvements in diagnosis, reducing clinical errors and paving the way for increasingly personalized surgical interventions.<\/p>\n

Cicero, who divides his time between New York and Newport Rhode Island, continues to maintain strong ties to his family practice in Rome. The periodontist has been a pioneer in the use of 3D printing in dentistry, earning a place in Forbes magazine’s exclusive list of the “30 under 30 most influential in the medical field in Europe” in 2018, at the age of just 28.<\/p>\n

“I have dedicated my research to 3D printing for eight years and holography for two,” Cicero recalls. Modern technologies, such as 3D printing and holography, are revolutionizing dental and maxillofacial regenerative therapies, offering increasingly personalized treatments.<\/p>\n

These innovations are not just clinical successes; they also enhance communication between doctor and patient, often alleviating unmotivated anxiety. “3D printing and holography increase patients’ awareness, a crucial factor in achieving the best results,” explains Cicero. “They represent a cutting-edge and particularly stimulating frontier, towards which we are committed to fruitful research to make them applicable in everyday practice and accessible to everyone<\/a>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
